LaterLifeFinanceGuide.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides independent, informational content to help people understand later-life financial options in the UK. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data.

What information we collect

We may collect limited personal information when you:

• Contact us via a contact form or email
• Ask for your calculator results by email, or sign up for follow-up emails from one of our calculators
• Subscribe to updates (if enabled)

This may include:

• Your name
• Email address
• The content of your message

We do not collect sensitive personal data.

How we use your information

We use personal information only to:

• Respond to enquiries
• Improve our content and website performance
• Maintain site security

We do not sell personal data.

Messages sent through the contact form on our website are processed and stored by our website hosting provider, Netlify, and are used only to respond to your enquiry.

Calculator emails

Our equity release, RIO affordability and downsizing calculators let you ask for emails. There are two separate, optional tick boxes:

• Email me my results: we send your result to you once. This email contains the figures you entered, your result and the same notes shown on the page.
• Send me occasional follow-up emails: a short series of emails, about a week apart, each pointing to one of our guides. The series then stops. These emails give information only, not financial advice.

We send them only because you asked, and ticking one box does not tick the other. Leaving the follow-up box unticked does not affect getting your results.

What we keep: your email address, the calculator you used, which boxes you ticked and when. To prevent misuse, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and email address for up to two days.

How long we keep it: if you unsubscribe, we delete your details. Otherwise, we delete them 30 days after the last email we send you.

Who processes it: emails are sent by Resend, our email delivery provider. Your details are stored by our website hosting provider, Netlify. These providers may process data outside the UK.

Unsubscribing: every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the follow-up emails and deletes your details. You can also contact us at any time. The one-off results email is sent only when you ask for it, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
